Pricing, Ordering, Shipping, & Billing Information
Shop in person at our world-famous Parent and Teacher Superstore in Brooklyn, New York for thousands of items and bargains not available online!
Prices are subject to change without advance notice. If a product's manufacturer increases its pricing, we may have to pass its price increase on to our customers, even if our website does not yet reflect the new pricing. If this occurs, we reserve the right to apply the new, higher pricing without notifying you, but if we will generally try to notify you before processing your order.
Because of the cost of processing, we regret that our minimum order is $60. Orders under that amount may be canceled or delayed, especially during the busy Back-to-School season at the end of August.

Standard Shipping and Handling Charges
Shipping and handling charges for most items being shipped within New York City are generally assessed as follows:

Special Freight Charges
We reserve the right to charge more for shipping and handling if it would cost us more than the above amounts to ship and handle your order. These are called special freight charges, and we will try to notify you if these charges apply. We will not charge you any special shipping fees without contacting you.
The shipping and handling charge for sending a single copy of our full-line catalog to an individual or business is $8. This does not include the $5 for the purchase of the catalog itself. Catalogs are sent via Federal Express (FedEx). If you prefer, you can buy the catalog at our parent-teacher superstore to avoid shipping and handling.
Most orders are shipped via Federal Express (FedEx). Heavy or bulky orders are usually delivered by our own trucks (if you are in New York City) or by a long-haul freight carrier (outside NYC).
To avoid shipping and handling charges, come to our parent-teacher superstore. It's an incredible store, full of wonders and delights. You won't be sorry!
Furniture, equipment, and other heavy items are normally shipped directly from the manufacturer to you ("F.O.B factory"); this is called "drop shipping." Freight (shipping and handling) charges for these drop-ship items are calculated separately from the shipping and handling on the rest of your order. You are always responsible for paying these freight charges, regardless of the total amount of your order.
Unless you specify otherwise, we normally SHIP COMPLETE. This means that any items that are currently out of stock at our store and warehouse will result in a backorder, and we will hold your entire order until the back ordered items from the manufacturer(s) and/or publisher(s) arrive at our warehouse. When we receive the back ordered items in our warehouse, we will ship your entire order.
Alternatively, you can tell us when you place your order that you want us to SHIP INCOMPLETE. This means that we will ship you all of the items that are in stock, and send the back-ordered items to you separately when we receive them from our supplier(s). Additional shipping and handling charges may apply for these separate shipments.
Finally, you can tell us when you place your order that you want us to CANCEL ANY BACKORDERS. This means that we will ship only the items that are currently in stock, and we will remove any out-of-stock items from your order (and only charge you for the items that are in stock).
Billing and Payment
If you are paying by credit card, we will charge the card when your order is ready to ship. We will not charge your credit card until we are ready to ship your order.
When you receive your merchandise, you will find attached to your packing list a statement reflecting your final order total, including any shipping and handling fees (as described above). If we are shipping to a home or business in the state of New York, we are required to charge New York State sales tax and will include that in your statement as well. Tax will NOT be assessed on orders shipped to non-profit schools and organizations, or to addresses outside New York.
